Near death in 2009

[edit]

I've removed the sentence about her being "near death in a hospice" in 2009 (apparently taken from here although uncited). According to this she was still alive as of February 2012, when she turned 90. Angr (talk) 18:19, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Picture Request

[edit]

She was an incredibly beautiful woman. Can someone supply a photo?Pieterpad (talk) 20:28, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea. BTW, lets make sure we don't end up with a picture of Marion Ross playing "Marion Cunningham" on Happy Days --Javaweb (talk) 22:13, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Javaweb[reply]

Bibliography

[edit]

I suggest adding a Bibliography section - featuring her important work The Breakfast Book (which is mentioned near the start of the article) with her recipe for yeasted waffles. Also this article should be tagged as within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.Penelope Gordon (talk) 03:05, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Marion Cunningham was a menu consultant to the Bridge Creek Restaurant in the Gourmet Ghetto in Berkeley, CA. (Her close friend John Hudspeth owned the restaurant.) The menu featured several items (such as 'Heavenly Hots') for which the recipes were published in her cookbook The Breakfast Book.Penelope Gordon (talk) 03:26, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Chez Panisse

[edit]

Marion Cunningham was instrumental in the success of Chez Panisse through her introduction of culinary luminaries such as James Beard to the restaurant. KQED Bay Area Bites July 2012 obituary tributePenelope Gordon (talk) 03:39, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
