Verifiable Source

[edit]

Although I have no doubt that the quote by Charles Darwin is in fact true, a verifiable source has yet to be seen. Even if it just takes a simple google it might help to have a link to it. Geogo3r (talk) 23:12, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lifespan?

[edit]

There is lots of data lacking on the article, including average lifespan of the species. Since some cientists have a theory that theis bones actyally shrunk during a 2 year famine caused by El Niño, it is useful to know if their lifespan is bigger than this period. 89.56.161.96 11:02, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Marine-Iguana-Espanola.jpg to appear as POTD soon

[edit]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Marine-Iguana-Espanola.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on September 26, 2012. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2012-09-26. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 20:59, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Marine Iguana
The marine iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus) is an iguana found only on the Galápagos Islands that has the ability, unique among modern lizards, to live and forage in the sea, making it a marine reptile. It can dive over 10 m (33 ft) deep and mainly lives on the rocky coasts, but can also be spotted in marshes and mangrove beaches.Photo: Benjamint444

Tourism?

[edit]

Is there anyplace that regularly facilitates scuba diving with marine iguanas? Are these iguanas hunted at all by locals? Do they coinhabit tourist areas? Or are all the populations well protected from direct forms of exploitation by humans? Cesiumfrog (talk) 11:02, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No Capital Letters in Subsection Titles?

[edit]

Why are there no capital letters under the section titles? Just curious as to if this is an editing error or something specific to Wiki. Also, would love for more pictures to be added relating to the environment the marine iguana lives in. |Mayafiore (User talk: mayafiore\talk)
