I had put a « Confusing » tag on this article, now removed by a contributor who asked me to explain here why.
I find several things confusing : the title, first. Marine (ocean) is puzzling. I have no suggestion because I am not convinced of the necessity of this article (but that’s a different issue : Maybe a more general MARINE (DISAMBIGUATION) would be clearer). Secondly, the organization of the article, which, very much like a dictionary entry (good for wiktionary perhaps ?), follows grammatical distinctions : noun, and then adj. Those grammatical differences are then contrasted with a scientific meaning (very general) of the word that was, in fact, included in the first range of uses (the adjectives’ ones). Am I clear ? Or am I adding confusion where there was none ? I am not convinced by the article as it is but maybe never will, as, on a larger scale, I think this article (and its title, that show on top when searching Marine...) are not helping to classify things clearly. --Hérisson de Cloche (click for a ring)06:54, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You are clear, this page is a specialized disambiguation page with a dictionary definition. It is redundant to Marine, and links here should probably be redirected to Oceanography. This is not an encyclopedia entry. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja22:12, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
