Can someone tell me if van Antwerpen was male-identified and/or lived full-time as a man? I'd like to avoid misgendering this individual if s/he was actually a trans man. Asarelah (talk) 22:01, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is hard to establish, but judging from the information in the references, it seem as if Antwerpen was not a woman dressing as a man because it was practical to live like one, but that he did prefer to identify as a male. --Aciram (talk) 23:43, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
