Removals
[edit]I omitted some content in these diffs:
- We know he was consul in 294.
- I have MRR and Broughton does not say that he was the second consular Atilius.
- That the previous consul was P Decius Mus is irrelevant to this Regulus. Whoever the original author was also linked the wrong P Decius Mus. Linked was the consul of 340 rather than the consul of 295.
- I integrated the portions relating to what he did during his consulship.
- Zmeskal, Adfinitas (2009), does not note this Regulus as father of the later M Regulus who was consul in 267. He, in fact, notes no genealogical information at all for this Regulus.
- Origins of the Atilii shouldn't be here. There were some notes to that effect (
This entire section is drawn from the Wikipedia article on Aulus Atilius Catalinus. Munzer is apparently a source, but proper citations and verification is desperately needed ... This [a later passage] makes no sense ...
) in the article that seem to be meant for the talk page.- If this unsourced portion could be verified it would be better placed in gens Atilia.
- I removed the section.
