- To merge Marbles (game) into Marble (toy) for reasons of short text and context. Klbrain (talk) 15:10, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
It seems unnecessarily confusing and a disservice to readers to have separate articles on Marbles (game) and Marble (toy). The content at the older article, Marble (toy) already covered several marble games. signed, Rosguill talk 15:50, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Support per nom. IgnatiusofLondon (talk)
- Oppose the two are different enough, no need to change AndrewGarfieldIsTheBestSpiderMan (talk) 19:07, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Could you identify which sources differentiate between these two topics in a meaningful fashion? signed, Rosguill talk 19:12, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Soft support I am willing to consider merging, but it seems to me there ought to be some place on Wikipedia that can go into greater detail about various marble games without requiring a separate article for each and every such game; I did not feel it would be appropriate to bloat the 'Marbles (toy)' page with this type of content, since it could be seen as somewhat extraneous or excessively detailed for that page. - The concepts are similar enough that I don't think separate articles are justified. A separate article on different marble games could be justified by WP:SIZE or WP:SPINOFF, but Marble (toy) is nowhere near long enough to consider that. Adding two paragraphs on different marble games won't harm readability. IgnatiusofLondon (talk) 02:08, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
