Propose Merger into Sloppy joe

This page, as written, is highly vulnerable to deletion with good reason. However I believe it can and should survive as part of the Sloppy joe article. Just about every kid I ever knew grew up eating Manwich sloppy joes from time to time -- its part of Americana IMHO.

Also, what brought me to this page was running across this controversy but I am not sure if that belongs with Manwich or with ConAgra or with Leo Burnett Worldwide. Logic suggests it belongs closest to the subject, thus Manwich, but would that still be true if this article became a section within Sloppy joe ?

  • Oppose While this article can use some clean up, it is about a specific brand of sloppy joe sauce, not the general topic, of which there's many brands and generics avaiable. It'd be like merging the article on Pepsi into the general article on colas. oknazevad (talk) 22:06, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - the sloppy joe article should probably discuss the development of ready-made sloppy joe sauce, and Manwich might be mentioned as one example, but that's about all that belongs there. The Manwich article might be better suited as a redirect to List of ConAgra brands if it can't be saved. Or, as Formerly6697 mentioned, merged into the ConAgra article. • Comment as the OP I have started doing some cleanup on this article, as oknazevad said it can use that. When I started this I didn't think there was a potential for this article's survival but as I get into it I find there are quite a few interesting aspects to this subject that could lead to an encyclopedic article if I can find the needed reliable sources. For example this food product has had quite a varied history of slogans and jingles which might be of interest to anyone using Wikipedia for research on the advertising industry.
