[edit]The Blessed Virgin Mary is often depicted in a blue mantle in Christian artwork.. should this be included in the article? --Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 02:57, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Attached Mantle
[edit]I've often heard the term of an attached mantle being used in conjunction with modern-day clothing for men. I think it might have something to do with a trenchcoat, but how these two are attached I don't know.AnkhAnanku 16:41, 17 April 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnkhAnanku (talk • contribs)
Error in etymology
[edit]Etymology is wrong, it's from old French mantel. The old French is from Latin. https://www.etymonline.com/word/mantle Fixed.
