Please do not redirect this article

[edit]

This author, feminist, and founder of a religious denomination deserves her own article. She is certainly notable. Please do not redirect. Thanks, Madman (talk) 14:14, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop restoring unsourced articles that have been redirected

[edit]

It is a WP:POINTY violation of WP:V & WP:NOTE -- both of which require WP:RSs. User:Srleffler's original redirect was perfectly legitimate. HrafnTalkStalk 14:23, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added references. This article will be expanded. Thanks, Madman (talk) 14:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The correct thing to do is to provide references before edit-warring to restore it from redirect. Also of your three references, one is to an unreliable commercial blurb (of unknown authorship, accuracy and editorial oversight) and the remaining two are to sources within Divine Science. As such notability has not been established and I have templated the article accordingly. HrafnTalkStalk 14:48, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gale Publishing ref

[edit]

This URL is for the 'Biography Resource Center' (http://galenet.galegroup.com/servlet/BioRC) generally, not for specific information on Cramer. Additionally, attempting to access it yields:

Enter the following information so that we may authenticate you.

If you are using your library ID barcode or other ID for remote access,

enter that information in the PASSWORD field.

Important User Information: Remote access to Cengage Learning databases is permitted to patrons of subscribing institutions who access from remote locations. Such remote access is limited to non-commercial purposes. Remote access from a non-subscribing institution is not permitted if done for cost reduction or avoidance at that institution. For additional information, please reference the Copyright and Terms of Use link below.

Please see your librarian, teacher, or system administrator for your username and password. Username and password are case sensitive.

It is thus not publicly accessible. Combining these two drawbacks makes it absolutely useless for verification purposes. HrafnTalkStalk 15:54, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Given that Madman2001 has expressed no interest in discussing this issue, but simply reverts my concerns, I have taken up the issue at Wikipedia talk:Verifiability#Is a nonspecific reference to a non-publicly-accessible website "verifiable". HrafnTalkStalk 03:28, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't revert your "concerns", just your deletions of properly source material. Gale Publishing is a reputable publishing company and much/most of the online material is also available in book form as well. The material that is referenced is not contentious, just simply dates and biographical facts. Please assume good faith. Thanks, Madman (talk) 04:02, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Madman2001: Get your facts straight! The edit that you reverted did not contain a deletion, as this dif of your reversion clearly demonstrates. I am not disputing that Gale Publishing is WP:RS, merely that your reference to them is unverifiable. After your stream of accusations of vandalism against me for merely following WP:V, your "Please assume good faith" is extremely WP:POT. HrafnTalkStalk 04:36, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Further on this, advice from Wikipedia talk:Verifiability raised concerns about the citation's specificity, but one of them suggested "a quick search of the given citation". When I did this, it turned up that this seems to be the standard way of citing Gale. This still strikes me as not being particularly informative, but given that it's the standard, objecting to it would be WP:POINT. HrafnTalkStalk 05:04, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"a persistent health problem"

[edit]

Does anyone know what the "persistent health problem" was that Malinda Cramer suffered from that rendered her "an effective invalid"? In Divine Science and Healing, she does not disclose the exact nature of her illness either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.169.68.20 (talk) 21:52, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
