The result of the move request was: Moved to Malibu Nights per nom, old redirect overwritten. No such user (talk) 09:52, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
Malibu Nights (album) → Malibu Nights – The article "Malibu Nights" as it is is a redirect to Tenacious D (album). I am not requesting this move because I created this article, and I'm not requesting this out of WP:RECENTISM. There may be other things that share this title out there. But as it stands, Malibu Nights is a redirect for an album track (not a single) that is essentially one section of a larger song ("City Hall/I Believe/Malibu Nights"), so this album is clearly the more notable of the two to use the name "Malibu Nights". At the least, Malibu Nights should be turned into a disambiguation page for other topics, but I'd like to know what others think. Ss112 11:47, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support, actual articles should trump song redirects in nearly all instances. Especially here where the track is technically not even called "Malibu Nights". —Xezbeth (talk) 13:00, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom and above. The new article could have been written right over the old redirect. Dab page not needed. Station1 (talk) 20:00, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
