Name

[edit]

What's his name? the title says Mahamat while the article refers to him as Mahmud. Also in recent news reports, he is referred to as Mahamat Kaka (see for example: Reuters and The Africa Report ), could someone explain to me what is "Kaka" in his name and add that to the article? This definitely needs to be clarified. Best regards, OakMapping (talk) 13:12, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mahamat is the French spelling of محمود, Mahmud is the English spelling. Kaka is a nickname derived from the fact he was raised by his grandmother BBC. Khronicle I (talk) 15:32, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah alright, thanks for an explanation. OakMapping (talk) 17:58, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio tag

[edit]

OakMapping: The source given copies from us. This was posted April 20 2021, but if I go to an October 2020 revision (before the source), the same content is in the article as is in the source. Thanks though for checking! I have marked it as a reverse copy and removed the copyright violation tag. Sennecaster (What now?) 17:42, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah alright, I should've probably checked that before putting a copyvio tag. But this means another problem emerges as then this is a circular reference. Right? OakMapping (talk) 17:49, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah but that's where the copyright Inquisition gets to leave it to people who know more about the topic :) Sennecaster (What now?) 17:52, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article picture

[edit]

if he was just elected president of Chad, shouldn't the main picture be with the flag of Chad, not a picture with the US flag from the White House? Mastakos (talk) 03:11, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
