Chennai Super Kings Lover's recent edits are incorrect. The fact that Left Front and INC may have seat sharing does not mean INC joins LF. The tripurainfo ref explicitly says "left front and Congress" (my highlight). DSA should have a separate article, not replacing LF article. -- Soman (talk) 15:04, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See [1]. "On the other hand, CPI(ML) Liberation, although part of the anti-BJP platform, has announced to go alone. However, this time it will contest less number of seats to prevent the division of anti-BJP votes." Clearly, no mention of CPI(ML)L being part of LF and in fact it isn't part of the Left-INC seat sharing whatsoever. --Soman (talk) 21:02, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

On the notion that INC would be a LF member, note the language in Indian Express, "After discussing seat-sharing with the Congress for about a week, the Left Front on Wednesday announced candidates for 46 of the 60 Assembly seats in Tripura, while leaving 13 for the grand old party. One seat has been left for Independent aspirant Puroshottyam Ray Barman, an advocate and human rights activist. Of the total 46 seats, the CPI(M) will contest 43, while other Left partners — CPI, RSP, Forward Bloc — will field one candidate each, Left Front convenor Narayan Kar said at a press meet." (https://indianexpress.com/article/political-pulse/tripura-assembly-polls-left-front-46-candidates-leaves-13-for-congress-8405183/) By context it is evident that LF has seat sharing with INC, not that INC would have joined LF as one of its members. --Soman (talk) 03:08, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Soman The image of officially published candidate list in the twitter link given in this article (https://news.abplive.com/news/india/tripura-assembly-election-cpim-names-candidates-former-cm-manik-sarkar-missing-from-list-congress-1578022) says that the name of alliance is Left Front and Congress is designated as Left Front partner. One more direct link to the image is https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=727066045641837&set=pcb.727066065641835. XYZ 250706 (talk) 03:21, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Soman The independent candidate Purushuttam Roy Barman is probably from CPIML Liberation. (https://www.cpiml.net/liberation/2018/07/defend-democracy-rss-bjp-assault-tripura). XYZ 250706 (talk) 03:24, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Soman Besides the term Democratic Secular Alliance is not official name. Besides, CPIM Tripura is holding campaign in Facebook in the name of Left Front (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=727466295601812&set=a.525514245797019) saying that Tripurar Dorkar Baamfront Sorkar (Left Front government is needed for Tripura). "Tripura Assembly polls: Left Front fields candidates on 47 seats, Congress to contest on 13" - ( https://theprint.in/india/tripura-assembly-polls-left-front-fields-candidates-on-47-seats-congress-to-contest-on-13/1335796/ ), clearly talks of LF and Congress as two distinct blocs. Based on ANI report. --Soman (talk) 11:17, 26 January 2023 (UTC) NDTV: "In Tripura Seat-Sharing, Left Front To Contest 47 Seats, Ally Congress 13" ( https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/in-tripura-seat-sharing-left-front-to-contest-47-seats-ally-congress-13-3725438 ) Business Standard: "Left to contest 47 seats, Congress 13 in upcoming Tripura Assembly polls" And even CPI(M) itself, "Tripura Assembly Election Announcement Left Front to contest 47 Seats of which CPI(M) to contest on 43 seats. 13 seats for Congress in seat adjustment ..." (https://twitter.com/cpimspeak/status/1618264282323615746). The attempt to argue that INC had become a member of LF is moot. --Soman (talk) 11:24, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

With the risk of being repetitive, I'd like to kindly ask XYZ 250706 to stop treating the article as a notice board on the 2023 elections. The article is about LF as a political entity from 1977 to date, and material should be presented to give a balanced view. Clearly mr. Barman is not a constituent member party of LF, and should not be included in the Membership table. --Soman (talk) 14:12, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I did not add number of seats after your mentioned. I thought we should add that independent as it is supported by left front. Sorry for that. XYZ 250706 (talk) 14:42, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
