[edit]if you love mad caddies, what other ska bands would you enjoy?
Name Change
[edit]John Parrot 16:15, 4 June 2007 (UTC)16:15, 4 June 2007 (UTC)~ I saw somewhere that they used to be taxi drivers and they quit their jobs cos they were stressed and upset. Anyway they formed a band and were known as the really upset cabbies. The problem was they couldn’t fit the name on the tee-shirts so shortened it to Mad Cabbies. Unfortunately the printer at the tee-shirt company was dyslexic
I thought it was to avoid confusion with Op Ivy, has anyone got a source? --Aioth 14:04, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
No but I am a long time fan of the caddies and that is incorrect. there was another band named the ivy league that hailed from the east coast that the record company the caddies first signed onto discovered shortly after signing them. the caddies are not a ska band and should not be labeled as such in the article. also, "hillybilly" (crew cut chuck) is not a genre of music. rockabilly is.
Mark
[edit]Looks like he's left the band. --Aioth 11:38, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Todd
[edit]I see no reference to Todd Rosenberg, he played drums for them a while back for at least a year or so.
- Do you know when he started and finished playing with them? --Aioth 09:02, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]Listing every type of music they have ever played in the opening paragraph is unnecessary and looks tacky. I had slimmed it down to a couple, but this was reverted by an IP. It would be nice to get some sort of consensus on the most important genres to mention. Their Fat Wreck profile is a bit of a fluff piece and their main site only has a Q/A section. The infobox says Ska-punk, which I'm happy with. I'd also suggest Latin Music and Reggae (especially considering Keep It Going). --Aioth 09:00, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Members
[edit]I'd like to start working on this page and make it a lot more informative, but the member lists all throughout the article are extremely confusing and contradictory: e.g., Brian Flenniken is said in the body of the article to have left, though he's listed as a current member in the nav box and on the band's website. Chris Badham is listed as a former member in the infobox, yet appears in the list of current members but isn't even listed in the nav box, etc., etc..
If anyone knowledgeable on the Caddies could take the time to sort out the current and former members in both the Infobox, the members section and the nav box, and possibly supply length of duration for each member ("1994-present", etc.), myself and anyone who reads this page would be greatly appreciative.Skibz777 (talk) 05:13, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
