MILF?

[edit]

What does MILF stand for please?  SmokeyTheCat  •TALK• 16:47, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MILF = "Mother In Law Fornication"—Preceding 7ofHeaven (talk) 02:24, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It stands for "Mother I'd Like to ______".....fill in the blank. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.95.233.90 (talk) 20:09, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WITF="What Is This Falsehood" M=Mother I=I 'd=Would(WITF) L=Like to=void(WITF) ______=(WITF) yours should be "MIWLTF" Mine is more coralated)7ofHeaven (talk) 02:16, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it stands for Mature Independent Lonely Female. But history has a habit of getting re-written. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.243.108.179 (talk) 00:23, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My take on what the acronym means is Mother In Law Fornication.7ofHeaven (talk) 05:14, 19 June 2016 (UTC) On or near the year 1995 I was contacted by a pornography business in California. I am a multimedia computer scientist and was listed publicly that way. I had an all day visit at their duplication facility, videographer studio, and producers lab. I was interviewed at length. They asked me to eliminate a particularly bothersome trojan horse. It was a pair of googlie eyes that would follow the pointer everywhere you moved it. Being familiar with rudimentary UNIX commands I suggested "Kill" This bit of advice was not initially implementable due to the fact the googlie eyes was an unregistered process and had no name. I suggested "Use the process number then." Miraculously the eyes disappeared and the trojan horse was dead. With subsequent calls to my landline phone, someone at the producer's lab and I got to talking about different genre of porn. It was then that I coined the acronym MILF.7ofHeaven (talk) 05:48, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion

[edit]

With the definition of Mother In Law Fornication (MILF) this explains the age range of women who play the focused main character in movies tagged as MILF (see talk this page). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 7ofHeaven (talkcontribs) 17:10, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

MILF pornography has more content, so MILF (slang) should be merged here. (Just to make things difficult, Talk:MILF (slang) has a lot more content than Talk:MILF pornography so the former should replace this page.) HairyWombat 04:02, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support originally-proposed merge above. While I agree that the term "MILF" isn't always referred to as a pornographic term, the MILF slang term Wikipedia article has minimal content that appears to be basically, already present in this article here, which pretty thoroughly discusses the origin & modern use of the term "MILF". Guy1890 (talk) 07:44, 18 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what the outcome of this discussion is but someone's gone and redirected the slang page to here already. Going to remove the merge discussion tag for now Cannolis (talk) 09:30, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I just undid the redirect for now as no content was actually merged or moved over. Essentially it was an article blanking disguised as a redirect. We can finish the conversation here and hopefully arrive at a consensus. --Scalhotrod (Talk) ☮ღ☺ 09:13, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Keep each separate article. The large majority of women who self-identify and/or are referred to as MILFs are not porn performers. The term MILF does not originate in porn, is not a porn-only word and is therefore not a sub-topic of this article. If you heard someone being referred to as a MILF, or self-identifying as one, you wouldn't think of porn, let alone assume that she's in the porn industry.
This article being longer than the MILF (slang) article does not show that this is the primary topic; it shows that many Wikipedians are interested in porn and that the MILF slang article is too short (it used to be significantly longer). The MILF (slang) article should be lengthened - it's a commonly used word in several countries, yet it fails to mention what such women used to be referred to before the term MILF was popularised.
This term, as well as several other sexual terms to refer to women, such as Cougar (slang) and Yummy mummy, are often misunderstood.
Jim Michael (talk) 10:15, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Keep separate - I agree with Jim's reasoning, these are separate and distinct subjects. --Scalhotrod (Talk) ☮ღ☺ 19:36, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

With this many photos, maybe we should just convert them to a photo gallery at the bottom of the article. --Scalhotrod (Talk) ☮ღ☺ 17:48, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
