Confusing
[edit]This article should attempt to present the info in some sort of historical order. It's entirely unclear when this was first designed, etc. Someone not using his real name (talk) 09:49, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. I was thinking: How can a gun by the name of 1922, designed in 1909 inspire the development of guns in 1904 and 1907? Tried to clean that up and order chronologically. I got the figure of 1903 from St. Étienne Mle 1907. Being bold here, as I have no additional sources. Maybe that section needs a heading like "Development of the Bang System" to have it stand apart from the rest of the article, which is after all about the M1922 rifle. --BjKa (talk) 12:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
Justification for US as the country of origin
[edit]The designer is Danish and the rifle was never used by the US army. The patens may be US patents, but that doesn't indicate anything about the origin of the rifle. The patent mentions Bang as from Copenhagen, which indicates that having the US as the country of origin is sketchy at best.
Unless some proper justification is provided, I suggest this is changed to Denmark, since the only real link to any country seem to be Denmark, not the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.239.195.102 (talk) 23:11, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
