Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because he is a politician, not just some random person, and Google has quite a bit about him http://www.google.com/search?q=M%C3%B6r%C3%B0ur+%C3%81rnason&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a. And from A7. "It is irrelevant whether the claim of notability within the article is not sufficient for the notability guidelines. If the claim is credible, the A7 tag can not be applied. ." Also look at my reference. I think (though I can't read Iclandic) that it is credible.--Tideflat (talk) 17:00, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
- Speedy declined. This is a member of the Althing, the national parliament of Iceland, and so per WP:POLITICIAN is certainly notable. JohnCD (talk) 17:18, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
