Article issues

[edit]

This 2010 article was apparently create from a translation and is sourced only by IMDb. The biography there does not support a miniscule fraction of the 293 words of readable prose found in the article.

While creating articles is a fantastic thing "verifiability" is a policy that requires more than just adding titles and content to grow Wikipedia. If a minimum search does not produce evidence, not only to corroborate existing content but advance notability and allow for future expansion, then a stand alone article likely should not exist. At present there is material that appears to be original research and a filmography section that is considered unsourced but actually sourced by IMDb that is generally considered unreliable.

A defense of such articles has been offered as WP:NEXIST with the last sentence often being left out: However, once an article's notability has been challenged, merely asserting that unspecified sources exist is seldom persuasive, especially if time passes and actual proof does not surface.

Wikipedia is not a crystal ball and there is a point when it is not unreasonable to expect proof to be provided as opposed to "it is surely out there somewhere in the universe". Otr500 (talk) 04:44, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You've conflated notability with verifiability. The article on Spanish Wikipedia cites nine sources. Have you reviewed those to see whether they support notability? Verifiability is a problem in the Spanish version as well as here because the entire Carrera section contains only two citations, of a single source. The other sources are cited to support specific entries in the Premios section. Largoplazo (talk) 06:42, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've added five highly credible sources that verify her notability.Calmecac5 (talk) 17:23, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
