There has since been a second fire at this school, due to a lightning strike http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-20895306 and I would like to add to this article. Unholyjim (talk) 16:17, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- Not done for now: The source you provide does not mention a lightning strike. I note also that the section on the first fire is completely unsourced. Actually, the article has no references whatsoever. Rivertorch (talk) 20:21, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Lytchett Minster Fire Edit Request

Lytchett Minster School Fire 2012 There was a fire on the 27th of December 2012 from 6:02 in the morning, caused by a lightning strike. It hit the Creative Arts Block and destroyed the school theatre, the dance studio, three art rooms, a photography studio, drama and music rooms and specialised instrument practice rooms. This caused the school to be closed an extra two days and is being temporarily replaced in the upcoming months by a temporary block which was once part of the 2012 Olympic village. There is nothing on the Lytchett Minster School page about this fire, and I would like it to be there, considering it is now an essential part of the school's history.
As a reference, below is the link to the BBC article of the fire from 2 days after the event, although much more information is available now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-20864954
I will supply any necessary information if needed since I am knowledgeable on the subject. Thank you. Bareinversion (talk) 21:52, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- Done Some of the above material does not appear in the news stories, so I have revised your proposed edit. The info will have to be updated as time goes on and the situation changes. -- Dianna (talk) 01:23, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Needs updating
[edit]Hi I am very new at this but this page is somewhat out of date.
A good start would be referencing the schools updated website http://www.lytchett.org.uk/school/
There are now 5 houses and the headmaster is changing this year.

The current headteacher of Lytchett Minster School is Mr Andrew Mead (started in September 2014). The school has 1450 students and 90 teachers. 2.123.23.143 (talk) 16:59, 14 September 2014 (UTC) Source: <Mr Andrew Mead>
- Not done: as you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request.
Although you are supposed to provide the reliable source as part of your request, I tried checking this on the school's website, but this returns "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to www.lytchettminster.dorset.sch.uk". - Arjayay (talk) 18:10, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
