Thanks.... someone added the categories, and changed the references style so it says "reference name needed" for most of them, where my original edit had the "" style that listed the URL's referenced above... is the newer style considered better, and if so, why?
Regarding DOB and POB, I've spent evenings of 5 or 6 days reading about Workman and have not run across his date or place of birth anywhere, including on the bio on his own page. Since his first notable band, Bourgeois Tagg, was Sacramento, CA based, we can guess his early life was there, but who knows where he was born? I'd write him and ask, but you know, WP:OR. Likewise he states in published interviews that he was in his "early 20's" when he got into B-T, but I have no idea how long B-T was around before their first album came out, so it's hard to put even an approximate date on it... until someone somewhere writes an article and publishes these facts. Having read most of references listed above, I doubt that information is available on the internet (shocking, eh?).

I attended High School with Lyle in San Jose, California. Branham High School. Lyle graduated with the Class of 1975. I graduated with the Class of 1976. He was an extremely talented guitarist already within his High School years. We ran in some of the same circles. I do not know where or when he was born. I do know that he spent his youth and young adult years in San Jose. He has many friends in this area, especially from his High School years. He comes to his Class reunions when he is able to do so.
