[edit]The line "the examples include..." is a bit selective. The Altera NIOS port is currently not a part of the lwIP project. Note lwIP also comes with a port for the Infineon c16x microcontroller and Crystal cs8900 and the Freescale MCF5272 (aka ColdFire).
Nios II is not an operating system, it's a processor designed for FPGA from ALTERA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.56.56.45 (talk) 08:57, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Which IP version is supported?
[edit]I did not find anything whether lwIP supports also IPv6. If only IPv4 is supported (as I suppose) it should be clarified in the article. Thx FelixReimann (talk) 12:11, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- lwIP supports IPv4 and IPv6 but version 1.4.1 and older can only use EITHER IPv4 OR IPv6 but NOT simultaneously. Starting with version 1.5.0 (currently in development), you can use both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time. More information in the lwIP official wiki: LwIP IPv4/IPv6 stacks and IPv6 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pgquiles (talk • contribs) 09:31, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
