Duplication/initials

[edit]

User:Leonard-nelson - as you can see for yourself, biographical articles on Wikipedia have not got initialed titles. Hence it is Adolf Hitler and not A. Hitler. Please remember thid. L. Floridi is now a redirect but should be removed - article duplication is frowned upon IDX 12:36, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ego Floridis

[edit]

There doesn't seem to be any independent corroboration of the very high notability and importance attributed to Dr Floridi in this article and in the articles on Information ethics and the Philosophy of information. According to the current edit of this article "Floridi ... is best known ... for being the founder of the philosophy of information and of information ethics, two fields that he has largely contributed to establish as indepent areas of inqury." This claim, besides being sourced exclusively from Floridi's own writings, isn't even good English. --RichardVeryard 16:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 04:15, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notes

[edit]

I've done quite a bit of scholarly research on Floridi's critiques of various approaches to artificial intelligence. However, including such material on Floridi's Wikipedia page would (I believe) be problematic for a number of reasons. Thus, I am instead providing a link to some pertinent research notes in hopes that a neutral party might glean information worth including in the main article: [Research Links]. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.13.200.10 (talk) 23:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

COI tag (June 2023)

[edit]

Luciano Floridi is certainly a notable philosopher and many of the claims about him on the article are likely true and not exaggerated, but he also did create the article. about 60% of it was written by IP editors and should be rewritten to be more encyclopedic in style. - car chasm (talk) 14:36, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
