The final sentence of section before the section of paintings says no self-portrait has been identified.

Wis2fan that's because the painting in question has been attributed to LAD only very recently. The Art Gallery of South Australia calls it a self-portrait, but that doesn't mean it is one. If you compare the standing woman’s nose with LAD's nose in the life-sized portrait, you can actually see that they are very different. Also, LAD had light blue eyes and I cannot say with certainty that the standing woman in the painting has. The shape of her head also is not really the same. As for the sitting woman, that's clearly not LAD, although her eyes are indeed light blue. So, in spite of the fact that the AGSA markets its newest "discovery" as a self-portrait, it is very doubtful that it is one. --Edelseider (talk) 06:22, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
