Third opinion on notable residents
[edit]I am responding to a request (diff) for a third opinion:
# Loudonville, Ohio, listing of notable residents: how should Mr. Kettering be listed? One editor prefers to include his full name and a nickname (Charles Franklin "Boss" Kettering), while the other thinks it stylistically better to go simply with the article's current name (Charles F. Kettering). 06:11, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
User talk:Nyttend#Loudonville and Kettering and User talk:DocRushing#Kettering are about this disagreement. The best place for that, which is also in compliance with WP:3O guidelines, is here (I recommend that you both use article talk pages for these purposes).
While the nickname is mentioned in one of the citations in the Charles F. Kettering article, it is not particularly appropriate to use it on the Loudonville page. If the dispute remains unresolved after further discussion here, it may be relisted as per Wikipedia:Third opinion#How to list a dispute.—Athaenara ✉ 21:42, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
