[edit]I think that one of the best (and most destructive) criticisms ever produced of Marinoff's philosophic counseling came, two years ago, from an Italian philosopher and sociologist: Alessandro Dal Lago. I don't know if his book on this issue entitled "Il business del pensiero" ("The Business of Thought" or "The Thought's Connection"), has been translated into English.... however, I think it's worth reading....
