- ... that Elsa Schiaparelli prevented Salvador Dalí from adding mayonnaise to her lobster dress? Source: "It is said that the exquisitely painted lobster narrowly missed being smeared with mayonnaise by Dali. Schiaparelli put her foot down." - Size and date check out; hooky fact cited, article well-cited to reliable sources. Earwig check shows CLP/copyvio not a concern; tweaked one sentence to avoid commonly-repeated phrasing. QPQ done. I believe this is good to go. - The Bushranger One ping only 21:13, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Photo?
[edit]This article cries out for a picture of its subject. While there is a description, "a picture is worth a thousand words." Surely, there's a pic out there. C'mon, Wikipedia! --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 14:37, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed! Is there a reason not to use the Fashion Institute of Technology's photo and mark it as fair use using the catch-all fair use template? That seems like the most straightforward way to do this to me but would welcome thoughts from others. It would very clearly be fair use IMHO, as its very hard to meaningfully comment on the work without being able to show it. DocFreeman24 (talk) 00:27, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
