I know Llanrothal Court, and have the brochure from its sale, of about 2/3 years ago. But I don't know Llanrothal Lodge. Are they in fact the same building? KJP1 (talk) 10:04, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pevsner doesn't mention a Llanrothal Lodge, at least the 1963 edition doesn't. I think the 2012 reprint is out in May. I wonder if the new owners have renamed the court? KJP1 (talk) 10:11, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like a new build [1]? and is this The Cwm? [2]Martinevans123 (talk) 10:47, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh. Thought it might be one of the conversions of the extensive barns around the court, but I agree, it looks brand new and I doubt whether it's notable. Take it out? As to The Cwm, I'm having trouble identifying the "Greek Doric porch" to which Pevsner alludes. KJP1 (talk) 11:05, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you fancy surfing through GoogleMaps StreetView you'll even find another Llanrothal Lodge that looks like a 1970s bungalow. All very confusing without a good map or local knowledge. Perhaps safer to leave out for now? Of course, an old lodge could have been demolished to make way for a new builld. Also seems to have been a business based at that address recently - The Learning and Graphics Factory. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:14, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here's quite an interesting source: [3] Martinevans123 (talk) 11:24, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Almost simultaneous and on the same topic! Very weird. Incidentally, I left a note on your talk page re. the Raglan Cross, which you may have overlooked. KJP1 (talk) 13:38, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This blog is also quite interesting on Monmouthshire's Catholic history. [4]
What a lovely site that is. Some wonderful pictures of the church there - should be added as an external link, I think. Also some very interesting hints about the disappeared medieval village. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:07, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I also see here that Fred Hando wrote two articles about the village in 1965. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:13, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What a fascinating list. And, at 452 "White Cross nr Raglan 27-10-61 (14)" KJP1 (talk) 14:20, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, have left a note on my Talk Page. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:24, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
