This list-article, while in Draft space, garnered about seven "citation needed" tags, which I removed because I think the tags are not needed and they provide unnecessary clutter, as would clusters of citations. But I am happy to discuss.
For the record, some previous back-and-forth (presented here in chronological order of comments):
Comment: In reply to User:Pichemist, thank you for considering this, but I am puzzled by your review as there is no text requiring sourcing or removal, AFAICT. What you term "large, unsourced chunks" is merely, i think, introductory text written by myself, which includes generalizations from the listed items, e.g. "The goals of these programs are generally..." and e.g. "persons may be named after their death, in some of these...." Also a few sentences are defining what this Wikipedia list-article is intended to include or not: "This list does not include.... Nor does this list include....". You might possibly prefer that these introductory and defining statements be shorter or worded differently (e.g. "Please don't add any awards about individual works of writing to this list..."), I suppose, but there are no sources required or appropriate here. Also there are some summaries here by me of individual halls of fame, e.g. the one-sentence Michigan one, where I included no footnote, as the sourcing is in the linked article. Of course any specific calls for sourcing can/should be indicated by tagging or addressed by comments on the Talk page. Happy to discuss at Talk. But as I am seeing no changes to be made, I am resubmitting this for review again now. Again, a hall of fame is a thing, and it is okay to have a list of them, complementary to any categories or navigation templates (see wp:CLNT). --Doncram (talk, contribs) 23:44, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: I have put a {{citation needed}} template wherever there is a a statement which should have backing. Please note that this is not mandatory but rather just something that would help me feel more confident accepting the article. Signed,Pichemist( Contribs | Talk )06:43, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
