UTair removed?
[edit]In the old list UTair Aviation with 216 aircraft was listed, however, this is now missing in this list. Can someone explain why this is the case? --Russavia (talk) 20:48, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- I assume it is because 182 of UTair's fleet are helicopters mainly used in the oil industry, not for commercial passengers and therefore not included in this list. According to their website, they have 132 airplanes which is not enough to make the top 20.Ozzieboy (talk) 14:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Removed table at top of article
[edit]I have removed the table at the top of the article, adding some of the info in it to the main table. The new table was started in October 2007, but no work has been done on it since.
Also, most of the figures in it do not add up e.g. it shows Northwest with 317 narrow-body aircraft and 58 wide-body aircraft - making a total of 375, yet the total figure is listed as 312. If you take off the 77 aircraft listed in the footnotes, the total is only 298, not 312.
The table just adds confusion to the stats in its incomplete state. It is also ambitious to attempt a breakdown of aircraft types for each airline listed and it is doubtful that this part of the table would be kept updated. I would suggest that if a similar table is to be added in future, then it should be complete before it is added.Ozzieboy (talk) 12:08, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]It seems the info is already there in the article World's largest airlines. Vineet Aggarwal (talk) 02:53, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agree with merger. -- P199 (talk) 03:43, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, two diffrent pages with the same info is useless. Spikydan1 (talk) 19:17, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Merge completed. -- P199 (talk) 19:34, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Fleet Numbers
[edit]Some of the numbers don't match those of another page and some aren't saying that it isn't just the main part of the airline, ie not mentioning it includes the fleet of it's regional counterpart.--Goldwing 5000 (talk) 06:10, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
