List

[edit]

Since it's a list article and Thomas Harrison (architect) has his own article, do we need a repeat of his life details here? I organised it as per wikipedia biography but now realise it needs to be left to his home article or made very brief, including only a run-down of a few buildings before attention goes to the List of Works Manytexts (talk) 08:12, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have a point, although the lead to the list is a complete re-write rather than extracts from the article. I was sort of looking towards FLC at some point and decided to do more than a minimal lead, taking as my example a list such as List of new churches by John Douglas which compliments John Douglas (architect). The Harrison article needs a complete re-write with more extensive material (which I have obtained); and I now realise that the lead to the list should not have been divided into sections — that will be sorted when it's off the main page. Thanks for the comments. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 09:41, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
PS Ah, I now see that I did not create the sections. As a list-article, they will have to go! --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 09:44, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it was me! sorry about that -it just seemed too much of a bunch about him to be a lead to a list. Now I see it's introducing the works so maybe not to lead with his name? You're welcome to revert it to being a roundup of the list below. Nice work :) Manytexts (talk) 10:35, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
