Merge with List of Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks
[edit]These are two lists of the same phenomena. Since "List of Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks" is less complete, it should be the one merged here but this can be discussed.

Merge
[edit]- Support. There was once a time when creating multiple lists of the same thing was valid, because it was the only method we had to present the information in different sort orders. But that was 15 years ago, and as soon as we developed the ability to make sortable tables the need for multiple lists disappeared forever — since that functionality was rolled out, we can and do just create one list and make it sortable if there's reason to believe people might want to see the entries in a different order. There's no need to have two distinct lists of the same thing coexisting alongside each other anymore — we can certainly discuss and revise the way the list is organized, but there only needs to be one list. - Support. This fancy table is difficult to edit. I suspect that is why it is not kept up the way the other list is. The other page is easier and cleaner. Bjorklund21 (talk) 17:51, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
No Merge
[edit]- Oppose; rather reorganize. There is a huge amount of information here, and the proposal has also missed the 300+ referenced- List of 21st-century Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks, as List of Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks has only those in up to 2000. Rather than merge I suggest keeping List of Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks and List of 21st-century Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks as simple referenced lists of data (easy to update), and then cull the contents of List of tornadoes by province (Canada) to include only rated (i.e. large) tornadoes. Klbrain (talk) 07:21, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Addendum: suggest keeping List of Canadian tornadoes and tornado outbreaks as Fujita scale F2 (Considerable damage) and above. Klbrain (talk) 11:47, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Don't know how you'd like to enter these, but seems like it would be appropriate to do so: https://phys.org/news/2019-07-twisters-prairies-canada-day.html Perhaps more detail can be acquired from the UWO researchers. 2001:56A:F0E9:9B00:E592:91DE:C5B2:2154 (talk) 03:05, 6 June 2023 (UTC)JustSomeWikiReader
