Orgin of names

[edit]

I propose the addition of a very brief note on the origins of the names of features, when known. These names could be entered in the second column of the charts. Tjlynnjr (talk) 09:09, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Left a note on User:DiverDave talk page this date. Tjlynnjr (talk) 09:17, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just started it not knowing about this article. Why aren't shelves mentioned here? Is there another name for them? Should List of continental shelves be a main article or a section within this or what? Thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:11, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, there are three navboxes at the bottom of Continental_Shelf that could really use this link somewhere big, like above or below. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:06, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Omission

[edit]

The table of deepest trenches omits Molloy Deep which at 5,669m should be number 21 on the list. Ptilinopus (talk) 01:06, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
