Cave classification
[edit]90% of the natural caves are limestone karst caves. Some are Dolomite karst cave There are gypsum karst caves Lava tubes Sea caves that form by waves And some caves in the Loess So I guess all but 2in the list are karst caves, and except 1 gypsum 2 tufa cave all are limestone karst caves. So No place to classify 1 as rock the other as karst other a Limestone and so on... Eyal Morag (talk) 22:09, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Redundancy in Show Cave definition
[edit]This sentence: "A show cave is defined as a natural, underground cavity, which has been equipped for visitors" is entirely redundant in at least two ways, possibly three. All caves are natural. All caves are underground. A cavity can also be a kind of cave. Since we are trying to define what a show cave is, you define it as any cave equipped for visitors. Everything else is superfluous and redundant. I would go one step further by saying any cave can receive a visitor, but show caves are specifically maintained for those ill-equipped to visit a non-show cave, which are usually tourists. Bermicourt, you suggest defining a cave as a cave is less helpful, but as I see the structure of the sentence now, it is terribly redundant and is still defining a "cave as a cave" but with more unnecessary words. - Blame the German editors on de.wiki from whom I faithfully translated it. Do as you wish; it's not that interesting a topic. Bermicourt (talk) 09:08, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
