I
[edit]I have compiled most of this list so far. Clara Bow was removed for not having a reliable source. If anyone can find a good source proving she had developed schizophrenia in her lifetime please add it to the page! The list emphasizes well known or successful people with the illness (as opposed to criminals with it). -- Borange
Megan Fox - Actress from transformers
She has claimed she has mild bouts of schizophrenia, but has not seen a doctor or been officially diagnosed. -- Borange — Preceding unsigned comment added by Borange (talk • contribs) 20:47, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
Would Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, Abraham and other biblical figures have had schizophrenia? Ie delusions of grandeur, hallucinations, etc? Reference: Bible.
This is not verifiable, and we should refrain from making armchair psychology diagnoses of historical figures, especially ones from pre-history. --Disaposi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Disaposi (talk • contribs) 18:07, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Where are people like Tom Harrell, Jack Kerouac, Syd Barrett, Brian Wilson, and Eduard Einstein? Have these people not all been diagnosed with schizophrenia? -- Giuvertt — Preceding unsigned comment added by Giuvertt (talk • contribs) 03:43, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
If you have reliable sources for these people and they are considered notable, add them yourself. Disaposi (talk) 16:21, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Vashishtha Narayan Singh
[edit]Vashishtha Narayan Singh Wiki page does not list him as dead, nor can I find any articles online about his supposed death. Move him to alive? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.254.154.105 (talk) 08:54, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

To alphabetize or not
[edit]I just found this article, and I noticed that the Living People section is alphabetized by surname while the Deceased People section is alphabetized by given name.
It appears the latter is intentional, as it is meticulously done. But should it stay that way?
Unless there is a preference to keep it this way, I might change the Deceased section to be alphabetized by surname. Please let me know what you think. Kirby777 (talk) 00:33, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Disappointing to find criminals and murderers among the list. Unsure of why this is necessary,. If you feel it is, then Im sure there are many criminals with bi polar that havent been featured in that list.
I would ask that the criminals are deleted from the list. If you wish to, you could create a separate list for criminals who have various disorders, not just schizophrenia.
People with schizophrenia are stigmatised enough without wikipedia normalising the view that criminality is a feature of the condition.
One more thing - how about adding Donny Hathaway to the list of people with schizophrenia. 92.31.99.86 (talk) 10:24, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- I've added Donny Hathaway to the list. As for the rest of your request, however, this list includes all notable people with schizophrenia, that means anyone with a Wikipedia article. There is no good reason to specifically exclude criminals from the list. Lennart97 (talk) 14:28, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
Gene Tierney and Zelda Fitzgerald?
[edit]As far as I'm aware they both had bipolar disorder not schizophrenia. Greggeorgian (talk) 12:18, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
