[edit]Is it necessary to list parks on this page that do not have corresponding entries on Wikipedia? The NYC Department of Parks and Recreation maintains a complete list of all parks, for whcih a link is provided in the article.
- Ideally, yes, we should have every park on this list. But only some of the parks (those that are most notable) will merit their own articles—the minor ones should be listed, but unlinked.--Pharos 23:44, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Greenspaces
[edit]I would like to hear your opinions. I think we should include here a section on the greenspaces that are maintained or authorized by NYC Parks. These play a very important role for the many citizens who live far from the major parks.
Recently the Belden Point Greenspace on City Island was just opened.[1] It provides beautiful access to LI Sound. It took ten years of work and cooperation of many agencies to make it happen. Such stories should be a part of this article.
