THIS LIST CONTAINS PPL THAT DO NOT BELONG HERE. Please remove this vandalism. thankxModelun88 07:03, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- And why is that?? Tabercil 14:57, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Why about half of the members have no induction year shown? If that is not known, how can it be known they even are members? 82.141.64.214 (talk) 18:33, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- And why is there a (R) after one of the names in the list? Miles Long®
Formatting and consistency
So now that we have refs for everyone, I've also specifically placed them on the year that they won. As for the table format and the columns, if we are going to keep it should we add sorting? Although, the argument in favor of going back to bullets is that its more compatible in mobile viewers plus it would far easier to add an alphabetical table of contents. Anyone have an opinion or preference either way? --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (Talk) 22:46, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Notice
There's a thread about the potential future of this list here at at BLP/N. I will continue to add inline citations to this article as I have the time to do so. Others are more than welcome to join in to complete this work as well. Guy1890 (talk) 21:43, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- Count me in, I'll add when time permits as well and make the effort to follow suit with the same sources. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 02:45, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanx in advance. In addition to this page here & the AVN Awards, similar, recent "demands" have been basically been made of the Erotic Awards, the Barcelona International Erotic Film Festival, the Free Speech Coalition, the Venus Awards & the AVN Best New Starlet Award. I would expect to hear some more about these kind of issues (basically from the same small group of editors) soon. Guy1890 (talk) 03:51, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- A's are done, wish I could find years for the few that are missing. Yeah, no surprise on the other fronts... :) I'm being Wikihounded like crazy by our "friends", I make a change and they follow. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 04:51, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- For the record, the above BLP/N thread went nowhere. Guy1890 (talk) 06:00, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
BLP compliance
Good work. I have now removed any unsourced names but this lsit still looks good and the fact that it is BLP compliant is a success story♫ SqueakBox talk contribs 18:11, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- The BLP tag that you insist on being present here was previously removed by a bot as invalid. Also, your previous BLP complaint above about this page went nowhere at BLP/N. Your recent edits (including removing Wiki-linked names to other articles where there are likely sources for this article here) here are out of line. Please revert your changes. Guy1890 (talk) 21:08, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- Guy1890, You are asking me to restore challenged BLP material without a source? No I wont. Your claims about a very old BLP noticeboard complaint do not, though, negate the importance of BLP here. Why exactly is it out of line to remove BLP challneged material that is unsourced? And where does it talk about likely sources on BLP in a way that backs up your claims?
- I'm not at all "asking you to restore challenged BLP material without a source". What I (and several other editors, including an administrator on another page that you are certainly aware of at this late date) am telling you over & over again is that the sources that you claim to want so badly are on the very Wiki-linked article names that you keep trying to blank from these kind of articles in the first place. "Your claims about a very old BLP noticeboard complaint do not, though, negate the importance of BLP here"...sure they do, since your "concerns" were not ruled to be valid at all some six months ago, yet you continue down this same path to nowhere now. You know full well the issues and seriousness of your actions here. Frankly, your recent actions speak for themselves. I'm done here. Guy1890 (talk) 01:47, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- I am happy to do this work but not quickly. Only you and Scalhotrod tell me over and over that I should ignore what BLP says and do what you say instead but I am not buying it. Change the policy if you dont like it but do not restore the names of living people on this list unsourced by claiming that the fact that they are likely sourced on the bio article is sufficvient as according to BLP policy today this is not sufficient for BLP compliancy♫ SqueakBox talk contribs 01:54, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. The consensus is that the current title most accurately describes the scope of the page and that it's consistent with other similar articles. Jenks24 (talk) 10:08, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
List of members of the AVN Hall of Fame → AVN Hall of Fame – Frankly, Rebecca1990 pretty much summed it up in this edit summary. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 08:37, 30 November 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. Natg 19 (talk) 17:23, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Support, obviously, since there is no article for the award itself. Before my edit, the lead section violates WP:SEAOFBLUE and WP:BOLDTITLE, and it looked like a link to an article about the award itself. sst✈(discuss) 09:29, 30 November 2015 (UTC)- Self-trout D'oh! Didn't notice that. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 10:49, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Support per WP:CONSISTENCY with the titles of similar articles (e.g. XRCO Hall of Fame and Hollywood Walk of Fame). Rebecca1990 (talk) 10:40, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. Plainly contrary to practice and a violation of WP:CONSISTENCY. Articles which merely list the "members" of an organization like this, with little or no sourced explanatory text about the organization itself, are identified as "list" articles. See, for example, List of members of the Baseball Hall of Fame, List of National Four-String Banjo Hall of Fame members, List of members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, List of Water Skiing Hall of Fame Inductees, List of Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees, and List of stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Individual "Hall of Fame" articles, in contrast, deal with halls which actually exist as institutions (not simply as names given to lifetime achievement awards) and whose articles have substantive content about the hall itself, beyond the list of members and simple chronological entries. The distinction has not been carefully observed, but that is no reason to further muddy the waters rather than clarify them. Here, the is no actual hall as an institution (unlike the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville, Iowa, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, IA, or even the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, WI. Consistency and practice call for retaining the current title (and, it appears, renaming the parallel XRCO Hall of Fame as a list article). The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo) (talk) 14:36, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose, per Hullaballoo Wolfowitz's strong argument. sst✈(discuss) 15:15, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:NCLIST. This page contains no referenced information about the AVNHoF other than the list. The current title accurately describes the contents of the page, whereas the proposed new name would mislead readers into thinking that this was an article about the award itself. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 06:00, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
