Caracazo
[edit]I restored the well-sourced information for Caracazo. It's unclear why it was deleted. --David Tornheim (talk) 13:14, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if it should qualify as a "massacre", we usually don't describe government responses to protests as "massacres" barring pretty extenuating circumstances. Allan Nonymous (talk) 20:32, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- You mean like the Boston Massacre? What do the sources provided say? We don't decide what it is, the sources do, right? --David Tornheim (talk) 20:52, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- BBC describes them as "clashes" and describes them as "riots". The only sources that agree with "massacre" seem to be left-wing sources, so this may be a case of WP:UNDUE Allan Nonymous (talk) 13:29, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

- I agree that it appears this should be included as there are a number of RSs using the word massacre for the many deaths during the protests. Have any RSs disputed the use of this term? BobFromBrockley (talk) 14:59, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- (but I also agree with Allan Nonymous about the need for NPOV wording in the list.) BobFromBrockley (talk) 15:01, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
