Samaritan revolt
[edit]In the Name and Date columns the year is given as 36 BC - but in the Notes it's 36 AD! The latter is more likely to be correct. Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 10:26, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- Changed date to 36 AD and moved entry to foillow Massacre of the Innocents in 6-4 BC. Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 09:24, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
Delete: Incorrect title and list, impossible scope
[edit]The current title of this entry is [List of massacres in Roman Judea]. The only two items are Samaritan.
The entry is defined as [The following is a list of massacres that have occurred in Roman Judea prior to the establishment of the Roman province of Syria Palæstina.] However this means prior to that provincial naming by the Romans which followed the Bar Kokhba revolt in 135 C.E.
Given that that period of history includes major wars, genocides and depopulation. (e.g. massacres in Josephus), the proposed scope of the list would be very large and mainly unknowable: I suggest delete entry or possibly rename the entry Samaritan massacres. -Yohananw (talk) 03:54, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Yohananw, It should be merged into something. It seems to only exist to prove a petty point about the name of Palestine? The List of massacres in Palestine article has bean increasingly petty edit war for over a decade, and this "list" is one of the results. MWQs (talk) 04:42, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
