Capitalization question
[edit]Hey @Donkey8: Why the preference for capitalization of "introduced"? The Wikipedia style is to use lower case. See the lead of MOS:CAPS where it says "Wikipedia avoids unnecessary capitalization. In English, capitalization is primarily needed for proper names, acronyms, and for the first letter of a sentence." Thanks, SchreiberBike | ⌨ 18:20, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
Merge with List of mammals of Italy?
[edit]This list seems kind of pointless when we already have a list of the entire country's mammals. Ddum5347 (talk) 16:38, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
Which extinct mammals to include?
[edit]@Hemiauchenia: Among all the lists in the "Lists of xxx of Xxxx" series, usually the decision has been made to only include species which went extinct after 1500. This isn't a set rule, though I've been thinking about trying to make it one (see User:SchreiberBike/sandbox#Inclusion criteria for List of organisms of Place). Your point about Sardinia being different in having so many introduced species is important though. One way this has been handled has been to have a separate section for extinct species. The reasoning for this is that when people are looking for a list of animals (or whatever), they are generally expecting to see a list of what's there now. What do you think. - I think including the extinct species in their own separate section is a fair compromise that I have no issue with. Hemiauchenia (talk) 23:55, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- Do you want to make the changes, or shall I? SchreiberBike | ⌨ 02:00, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- I'm on mobile atm so it's probably easier if you make the changes Hemiauchenia (talk) 03:37, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
