List of international visits made by Nicola Sturgeon → List of international trips made by Nicola Sturgeon – As per WP: CONSISTENT, in line with articles at Category:Lists of diplomatic trips which this article is a member of. – robertsky (talk) 13:52, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- However, I also note that in Category:Lists of diplomatic visits by heads of state the consistency is less clear. – robertsky (talk) 13:59, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. "Trips" is a semi-informal, non-encyclopedic term and "visits" matches the tone we'd expect far better than that. "International trips" would also potentially include private vacations and suchlike, which isn't within the scope of this article. Also, see the article's source [1] which uses visits. "State visits" is another option, but not certain that applies to the first minister of Scotland or just to leaders of nation states. If other articles are incorrectly named then the solution for consistency is to rename those to be correct rather than making even more articles have a silly title. Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 14:12, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Support. There are 160+ other articles titled "international presidential/prime ministerial trips" so it's in line with other titles as per WP:CONSISTENT unless we agree to move all of them to "visits". The only articles where "state visits" is used is of monarchs of a country and not with president/prime minister. Also other first ministers of Scotland also have their articles titled as "international trips" see, List of international trips made by Alex Salmond, List of international trips made by Henry McLeish, List of international trips made by Humza Yousaf, and List of international trips made by Jack McConnell.
- As I explained to you in the talk chat, we can make it consistent by moving the other articles to use the encylopedic term "visit". Consistency isn't a reason to move this page, you need to say why "trip" in particular is the best title, and so far you haven't given a single reason why. — Amakuru (talk) 17:57, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- If you or someone else could move all these 160+ articles to "visits" instead of "trips" I'm all for it. As long as they have same title naming convention. I've got no issue with all such articles being moved to "visits", consistency is important because there's a higher chance of people using the same probable search terms for all articles. — Hemant Dabral (📞 • ✒) 06:10, 21 November 2024 (UTC)

- Support. WP:CONSISTENT. Her article needs to be in line with the others. Theparties (talk) 17:22, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
