This list is intended to provide label information for band/artist pages where a first-class article does not exist for related record labels. The only intended inclusion criteria for the list is that the label represents at least one notable band or artist in article space.
This list was created because of the difficulty of providing information about small and underground record labels in the greater "industrial" genre. This is because while bands, musicians, albums, and even songs have specific notability criteria, labels do not and therefore fall under the general notability guidelines for commercial entities. Given that most labels derive their notability from bands and artists they distribute it can be very difficult to get substantial citation coverage unless the label grows very large or is fortunate enough to get good media attention.
