Westminster

[edit]

Hi @Gor1995, I know this is a work in progress, but I just wanted to let you know that there's quite a few Westminster burials which could be included (although I see some are already here). See Burials and memorials in Westminster Abbey; most musicians are in the Cloisters or North choir aisle sections.

Also, Orlando Gibbons is buried in Canterbury Cathedral (see File:Orlando Gibbons memorial (15885885885).jpg). You can use this reference: <ref>{{cite book |last=Fellowes |first=Edmund H. |author-link=Edmund Fellowes |year=1951 |title=Orlando Gibbons and His Family: The Last of the Tudor School of Musicians |edition=2nd |publisher=Archon Books |location=Hamden |page=44 |isbn=978-0-208-00848-0 |url-access=registration |url=https://archive.org/details/orlandogibbonshi0000fell }}</ref> Aza24 (talk) 20:39, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Aza24! It is indeed a work in progress, but lately I haven't been involved as much as I used to be. I'll keep coming back to it whenever I have the time and interest.
Thank you so much for both suggestions and for all the help and comments you have given me since the beginning. I'll definitely add Gibbons and will look into Westminster burials (it's strange, though, that there is a severe lack of pictures of Westminster burials in Commons...).
And of course, feel free to add anything you deem appropriate. I originally started this page with a few entries, hoping that the community would contribute and "complete" the list, but I ended up getting interested and doing most of the work haha. Cheers — Gor1995 𝄞 22:16, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
