  • Not done for now: I've looked over the template, and played with adding it to the article, but can't seem to figure out where to place the template and what result I should be looking for. Can you please be more specific as to this request please TorDuck, thank you. — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 19:57, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Technical 13: It adds a little star next to the interwiki link in the sidebar; adding it in preview probably wouldn't do anything since it's not modifying the article directly. I've added it to the article. Done, thanks! --ElHef (Meep?) 04:54, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why is 'runner-up' being tallied as a win?

[edit]

In the total award tally under the article photo, awards where DiCaprio was named as runner-up are being counted as wins. Runner-up is getting second place. You can call that "placing", but I don't think it should be called a win. If you really want to differentiate between 'runner-up' and 'nominee', it seems best to have a separate tally for that. Strallus (talk) 04:15, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've taken it upon myself to do this by changing the cell color for runner-up awards to blue (see here) and by adding an additional row to the total award count on the sidebar. The only issue is that I could not think of a good way to add a runner-up column to the awards summary table. I don't feel that there are enough runner-up awards to justify its own column. Perhaps it could be "Won (runner-up)" and you just separate the two that way, leaving it in the won column. Ideas welcome. Strallus (talk) 06:02, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lost to

[edit]

Why is there no "lost to" column anymore? --Jobu0101 (talk) 14:33, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

'Cause it's unnecessary. -- Frankie talk 14:41, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But it's a nice information to know which was the movie or actor or whatever considered better by the Academy. --Jobu0101 (talk) 18:19, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is but kind of trivial as it is for awards and nominations received by DiCaprio. For the recipients of those awards, one could simply pay the source or the award article a visit. -- Frankie talk 19:30, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Should the year be the first column?

[edit]

I'm looking at the template for award tables and all the examples show the "Year" as the first column. Should this we restructure this table to match the standard? Jtannady (talk) 16:50, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The current format is just fine. There's no visible advantage to doing this. This would be a lot of work for no good reason. FrB.TG (talk) 06:42, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
