Basins vs. Aquifers

I think a basin is a geographic thing, and an aquifer is a geologic thing; often they cover much of the same area on a map, but I believe they are different.

Also, should this list be qualified that these are just a few basins which happen to have Wikipedia articles (actually some don't even have that), rather than a "list of the aquifers of the world", unless someone is going to try to tackle that.

It was basically whatever articles existed. I was disappointed that this information wasn't here at all and just wanted to get it started. Can anybody with more knowledge than me help?? Jolomo 03:01, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
