- Since it's a list, I actually don't understand why a better lead section is requested. It's a list. There are articles on Platonism, yes? So I'm not sure you need to do a lot more. The significance of the Muslim conquest of Egypt as a turning point from ancient to early medieval could be made explicit: why is this the turning point? And since the lead section makes a point of chronological structure, I was disappointed to encounter an alphabetical list: I expected a chronological list that would give me a sense of development over time, and the possibility of influences. - Thank you for the comment, I tried modifying the intro to make things a little clearer. I hope it's better now. A list sortable by date would have been very nice but so many of the dates are either vague or missing.
