Changed "aircraft carrying submarines"
Changed as it can sound like aircraft that carry submarines... Argovian (talk) 12:47, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Country Ranking
Currently, the list for the numbers of aircraft carriers by country is ranked by alphabetical order, which I think it is not appropriate. If we look at other lists in Wikipedia, for example, the list of countries and dependencies by area, the list of countries and dependencies by population and the list of countries by GDP (PPP), none of them were ranked by alphabetical orders. The numbers of aircraft carriers by country is an indication of each country's military power. It is a quantifiable measurement and therefore should be ranked by numbers not alphabets. I reckon the order of the ranking should be: In service, In reserve, Decommissioned, Under construction, Never completed, and Total completed. Yohoyo (talk) 05:45, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- Given that the table is sortable, alphabetic order works best as the default IMO Nick-D (talk) 05:48, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- The table is alphabetized to align with the list below. The table is also sortable, which means with one click you can list the countries in order of most-to-least ships. The lists you mentioned specifically state "list of countries by..." in the title. For example, the "list of countries by area" lists the countries according to area size. This article is "by country", and like most articles of this type, the countries are listed alphabetically. The title of this article is not "list of countries by number of aircraft carriers", so your argument moot. - theWOLFchild 05:54, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- While I don't agree with Yohoyo, their preference is entirely valid and you're being needlessly rude. The article isn't called "List of aircraft carriers by alphabetic order of country" either. Nick-D (talk) 06:01, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- And you're always such a joy. Anything else? - theWOLFchild 06:12, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, I do not understand. I think the original editor probably made a mistake when they wrote the title of this article. I can't see any reason to put up a 'list by country', we don't need make a list when discussing something by country. I still believe that my standpoint is viable. I request the admin to change the title of the article and modify the list. Thanks. Yohoyo (talk) 11:22, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- You want someone to re-write the table, then page-move the article to another title to match up with the re-written table? What exactly do you want changed? It seemed your only issue was the order in which the countries were listed. But as I, and now an admin, have pointed out to you, that is not an issue because the table is sortable. (just click on the little black arrows at the top to re-rank the countries).

- Also, did you know there are about a bah-zillion other aircraft-carrier-related lists on Wikipedia? If you don't care for this one, have a look at some of the others before requesting major changes to this one. Have a look here, you might find one you like.
- Lastly, I realize you're new here. I would suggest you read through the "welcome" template I added to your talk page and get to know the project a little better before seeking unnecessary changes to established pages. Cheers. - theWOLFchild 17:31, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Japan aircraft carriers numbers
Hi
I found something unclear about number of Japanese aircraft carriers. On this page I found that there are 0 aircraft carrier and 2 helicopter carrier in Japanese navy. But on global firepower site it says they have 3 aircraft carriers. Reading List of active Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ships makes it even more complicated. Can anyone explain that?
Thanks in advance

Total number?
Adding from left to right in the bottom row, totals, and excluding those never built, I get 171, but it says 172 66.215.149.190 (talk) 07:51, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
The table appears off by one carrier. First column lists a total of 21 carriers, but adding up the column only totals 20. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.159.243.142 (talk) 13:18, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Totals row was completely off on number of carriers. Corrected the totals to accurately reflect the numbers presented in the chart: For total in service, total number of carriers corrected from 21 to 20. Total decommissioned from 145 to 125. Total All aircraft carriers from 172 to 155. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:181:4201:8c76:51c9:8ea5:b180:8c9f (talk) 09:30, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Ukraine
Why isn't Ukraine on this map? I saw an article about Varyag which was Ukrainian. Ukraine later sold it to China. Crazymanball (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 13:20, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
Inconsistency in Chart vs. Article
According to the chart, Brazil has no active aircraft carriers, but then the article states that Brazil has one that has been in service since 2000. Which is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aloe-sarah (talk • contribs) 03:04, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi! Brazil has currently "0" aircraft carriers.--AlfaRocket (talk) 21:04, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Under Construction for UK
HMS Queen Elizabeth has finished construction--is undergoing sea trials. HMS Prince of Wales is under construction. Amend? JessPavarocks (talk) 08:34, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi! Yes HMS Prince of Wales is still under construction and HMS Queen Elizabeth Will be operational in a couple of years!--AlfaRocket (talk) 21:07, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
numbers of fleet carriers
Some of these numbers don't seem to add up (quick math is clear for in service and under construction) Did somebody miscalculate or are some carriers shared? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.193.1.56 (talk) 19:01, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
- Fixed. All column and row totals add up now, as does the grand total. - theWOLFchild 09:38, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
