Japan CV by country
[edit]How exactly did japan only have 4 fleet carriers total? I can name Taiho/Zuikaku/Shokaku/Hiryuu/Soryuu/Unryuu/Katsuragi/Amagi even without counting the battleship/battlecruiser to CV conversions (Kaga, Akagi, Shinano). I believe the US Lexington conversions are included in the US conunt despite this?
Unless the 4 referred to were the 4 light carriers that survived wwii and is referring to JMSDF carriers, but USN light/escort carriers weren't included? And that doesnt explain the 4 that were in construction and cancelled, because postwar japan is constitutionally banned from havieng carriers?? Andrewopk (talk) 03:01, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- List_of_Japanese_Navy_ships_and_war_vessels_in_World_War_II#Aircraft_Carrier There is more than 4 on this list, not including eacort carriers, so maybe something is off. I didn't read up on each individual ship though, so I don't know if some have been excluded for some reason or another. - theWOLFchild 00:14, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
