Review for C class
[edit]Hi. I am the creator of this article and believe that it meets all of the c class criteria. Could someone revii w it to promote it to c class. I have tried posting this on the wiki project spaceflight which has been fruitless — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.183.212.131 (talk) 12:09, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (It has a list of the Vega launches, which Vega (rocket) does not have. It also has graphs and future launches, both of which are also excluded from Vega(rocket). Also other articles have this format where one article(in this case List of Electron Launches) has a list of the rocket’s launches and another article(Electron (rocket) has the About piece.) --71.183.212.131 (talk) 11:25, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- You're insisting on including duplicative prose sections (and edit warring to remove advert tags on these sections), which effectively make this a WP:POVFORK. - MrOllie (talk) 12:58, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
More languages
[edit]Can we try to translate it into more languages? The language that I think we should translate this in to for now are Spanish, French, Portuguese, Filipino and Hebrew. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.183.212.131 (talk) 11:58, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Update graphs.
[edit]Someo of the graphs on this page have not been updated.
Propose split/merger
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to keep this page, but to remove the transclusions from this page to the Vega and Vega C pages. -- RickyCourtney (talk) 01:18, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
There isn't that much information on this page, and it's largely being transcluded onto the Vega rocket pages, so I'd like to propose that the information on this page be merged onto the Vega (rocket) and Vega C pages as appropriate and that this page be deleted. -- RickyCourtney (talk) 19:01, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Strongly oppose since the list already includes two types of launch vehicles using a single flight numbering system. AmigaClone (talk) 05:53, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Fair point.
- I figured, if we split, we could explain the gap in flight numbers with an explanatory footnote.
- However, if we don’t split, we should stop transcluding the list of flights on each page to avoid listing Vega C flights on the Vega page (as is the case now).
- Pick your poison, I suppose. RickyCourtney (talk) 06:46, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that this page should stay. The launch graphs on the Vega page could stay there, but the table transclusions on both pages should be removed and link to here instead. Narnianknight (talk) 18:28, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose The solution is to transcribe the relevant section from the list of launches, rather than just the entire list. It’s useful to see the entire family of launches in a single page. Ng.j (talk) 10:49, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- That’s fine, we just need to stop transcluding tables. That means either the Vega and Vega C pages won’t have tables… or editors will need to maintain tables on three pages. That’s normally why editors like tranclusion, it lets you do work once in one place and it can live on several pages. But since people feel strongly that all family launches need to be combined that is no longer an option here. RickyCourtney (talk) 16:55, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- In my opinion, a rocket article starts looking a bit messy when it gets more than about 15 launches anyway. Note to Ng.j: We can't actually transclude Vega and Vega C separately because there are launches of both in the 2020–present section. Narnianknight (talk) 17:20, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
