Yamato is referred to with feminine pronouns and terms (e.g., daughter, she) in all mentions of the character on this page, despite the official translation using masculine pronouns and terms (e.g., son, he). Please change Yamato's pronouns to he/him/his and "daughter" to "son". Additionally, please add that the Funimation English dub voice actor for Yamato is Michelle Rojas. - Primary reliable source about Yamato's gender: https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/one-piece-chapter-984/chapter/20798
- The manga itself. The linked chapter specifically is when he takes off his mask and declares himself a man. There is a narration box that says "(Daughter?)" as well, but that is the only time outside of flashbacks where Yamato is referred to as anything other than a man in the entire manga. 2600:6C4A:737F:F548:CA22:C0D2:7132:64B (talk) 21:53, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yamato's gender should not be changed. Yamato's Vivre Card (official supplementary material providing additional information and clarification on characters and topics that wasn't mentioned in the manga, all of which is double-checked and approved by the author, Oda, himself) explicitly refers to Yamato as "Gender: Female", unlike other canonically transgender characters whose gender identities are reflected in their Vivre Cards using language such as "Male (heart of a female)". Yamato's Vivre Card was also released after her debut in the manga, making it the most up-to-date source of information on the issue. Also, in a case where the manga is contradicted by a statement from the author, the latter should be given higher priority. Ergo, Yamato is not trans. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.175.127.93 (talk) 17:50, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
"double-checked by Oda" Source? Vivre cards have gotten things wrong several times. Nonhumanenby (talk) 16:30, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Also not identifyng as your agab is the literally definition of trans, and at least for now, Yamato identifies as a man. Nonhumanenby (talk) 16:33, 23 August 2024 (UTC)If someone does not identify with their agab, they're trans. Na789 (talk) 20:27, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Yamato's actual gender doesn't matter, there are cis women that use he/him pronouns, as long as Yamato uses he/him and identifies as a man he should be treated as such and to say otherwise is transphobic. Brazilnumberone (talk) 02:00, 24 August 2024 (UTC)As the person above me said, Yamato's gender doesn't matter, pronouns don't equal gender so even if Oda had literally said that Yamato is a woman, there would be no justification to use she/her pronouns on him. Vizxelle (talk) 16:46, 5 September 2024 (UTC)Also vivre card is literally merch and have been wrong about several things befote like saying that Germa Kingdom was on the South Blue or that Shanks was an emperor during the time he met Luffy. change "Thousand Berry" to "Thousand Sunny" Thekidofgaming (talk) 20:59, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not done for now: Could you provide more details regarding why this change is desirable? It is difficult to assess whether the change is an improvement overall with so little information about it. Melmann 21:20, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

"Shanks is able to use all three forms of Haki: Haoshoku/Conqueror, Busoshoku/Armament, and Kenbunshoku/Observation and is one of three known characters in the series to be able to use all three forms, with the other two being Luffy and Kendo."
Should be changed to:
"Shanks is able to use all three forms of Haki: Haoshoku/Conqueror, Busoshoku/Armament, and Kenbunshoku/Observation and is one of three known characters in the series to be able to use the advanced forms of all three types of haki, with the other two being Luffy and Kaido."
The original text is factually incorrect for stating that Shanks is one of three known characters to use all three forms of haki. Roronoa Zoro, Charlotte Linlin, Kaido, Portgas D. Ace and Charlotte Katakuri are just a few examples out of many that can also use all three types of haki. It is likely that the text is referring to advanced haki, which is an ability Shanks and Luffy both have, but a character called Kendo does not exist in the One Piece universe. However, Kaido, who has a similar name, has all three types of advanved haki. I believe these mistakes are simple typographical errors, but they have led to these factual errors. 212.50.170.19 (talk) 01:07, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

Yamato uses he/him pronouns, this wouldn't change even if he was confirmed to be a woman as women can use he/him pronouns. Also, Vivre Cards are merch, are not written by Oda himself and have been wrong about several things in the past which is why i don't think they should be used to determine Yamato's gender or pronouns. Please change Yamato's pronouns to he/him/his and "daughter" to "son". Vizxelle (talk) 13:29, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
