Page move
[edit]Was there any consensus to have this page moved to this name? -- Chuq 07:22, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Should "Old Boys" really be used? Perhaps List of St Aloysius College alumni would be as suitable?--ZayZayEM (talk) 01:28, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- "Alumni" seems to be an American term, perhaps List of St Aloysius College former students. Having said that there is List of alumni of Wesley College, Melbourne, List of Melbourne High School alumni, List of Old Xaverians and List of Riverview Old Ignatians, so there is a bit of variety! Given that I think there is only one article on a past student of my school (at this stage at least) I guess it is something I won't have to worry about for a while. :-) -- Mattinbgn\talk 01:50, 22 January 2009 (UTC)--
- "Old Boys" is the description used by the former students themselves. Their association is SACOBU (St Aloysius College Old Boys' Union). The term "Alumni" is an American usage.203.31.52.137 (talk) 06:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
References
[edit]I have removed unreferenced material from this list. Rhodes Scholars aren't of themselves notable unless they are notable later on in their lives and so I have removed them. Those that remain are listed elsewhere because they are Prime Minister etc. Some names are linked but even their bios don't reference their schooling. Please be very carful to reference names correctly before adding them or reverting what has been removed. Castlemate (talk) 08:28, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
