Common/Sponsor Names
[edit]Why do some races have sponsored names and some hace generic (WP:COMMONNAME) names? One or the other please (prefer Common Names myself, it's only American races in Wikipedia that are usually refered to by sponored names). --Falcadore (talk) 07:25, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- I have aligned the event names with the race report links on a few entries to provide consistency with event naming. GTHO (talk) 23:47, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
1958 AGP
[edit]Was there something wrong with the '58 Grand Prix being at Bathurst? --Falcadore (talk) 03:45, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- No, just something wrong with my editing skills. Entry now restored. GTHO (talk) 10:11, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Lex Davison's Ferrari
[edit]Just wondering why the link for Lex Davison's Ferrari links not to a car article but to an engine article? Additionally while I am aware ultimately this car bore the engine of a Ferrari 750 Monza sports car, the actual car was in fact an ex-Alberto Ascari Ferrari 500? --203.161.138.131 (talk) 03:25, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- “The Official 50-race history of the Australian Grand Prix” lists the Davison car as a 625, which is understandable given that the Ferrari 500s were redesignated as 625F1s when converted from 2.0 litre F2 specifications to 2.5 litres for the 1954 F1 season. With this in mind, I have amended the 625 links on the table. GTHO (talk) 03:07, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
